1. A male lion is flung into the air after attacking a lone female buffalo in the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia.
සාමාන්‍යයෙන් සිංහයා කියන්නෙ අනෙකු සතුන් ගොදුරු කරගන්නා නිතරම ජයගන්නා සතෙක්,නමුත් සිංහයකු කුළුමීමෙකුට පැරදුන දුර්ලභ අවස්ථාවක් ඡුායාරූප පෙළක් Matt Armstrong-Ford නම් ඡුායාරූප ශිල්පියෙක් විසින් කැමරාවට හසුකර ගැනිමට සමත්ව ඇති අතර ඒ සැම්බියාවේ වන උද්‍යානයකදී යි.
මෙලෙස රැුළෙන් වෙන්වූ සිංහයෙකු හා කුළුමීමෙකුගේ දරුණ සටන අන්තර්ජාලයට නිකුත් කර ඇති අතර දින දෙකකට පසු සිංහයා මියගොස් ඇති බවත්,ඊට පසුව සටන ජයගත් දින කිහිපයකට පසු මියගොස් ඇති බව වාර්තා වෙයි.
2. The hungry six-year-old lion was suffering from mange, a type of skin disease, and had become detached from his pride.
3. Dramatic images capture the lion biting and clawing at the buffalo’s mouth, the big cat’s face smeared with blood and dust.
The big cat is thrown around in the air as he relentlessly tries to mount his enemy and is finally finished off when another buffalo arrives on the scene to deliver the coup de grâce.
The poignant images were taken by photographer Matt Armstrong-Ford in the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia.
The amateur British photographer, who works as a guide and camp manager for Shenton Safaris, came across the scene as the lion’s claws were hooked into the buffalo’s muzzle.
Armstrong-Ford recognized the lion as a six-year-old who suffered from mange, a skin disease, and who had become cast out by his pride.
4. Both battle-worn animals appear to have little energy left after fighting for an hour in the national park in Zambia.
5. The lion digs his claws into the buffalo’s face as he attempts to pull the animal downwards to deliver a killer bite.
6. The lion sinks his teeth into the buffalo’s mouth — but the attack is not enough to bring down the much larger animal.
The big cat had camped himself next to a watering hole in the hope of attacking an unsuspecting buffalo.
7. The incredible pictures were taken by Matt Armstrong-Ford, 25, an amateur British photographer.
8. As the lion prepares to rise, more buffalo arrive with another of the animals delivering a lethal blow to the feline.
9. Caked in blood from where he has been gored by the buffalo’s horns, the male lion lies beaten on the dusty ground.
10. Both animals died as a result of the clash. The lion succumbed to injuries two days later while the buffalo later died of infection.
